Viet Kitchen is the newest Vietnamese restaurant found in Central. It is owned by the Chef of Chom Chom, Peter Cuong Franklin, who is renowned for his expertise in Vietnam cuisine. Offering homey pho, banh mi, coffee and a full list of cocktails, this modern little kitchen is ideally open for lunch and dinner. During lunch they serve set lunches and a la carte foods inspired by Southeast Asia.
Most dishes are very enticing, especially the silken tofu, deep fried with crispy edges and intensely flavoured with lemongrass. The refreshing rice paper rolls are stuffed with soft shell crab, shredded carrots, cucumbers, vermicelli and are great too.
The miniature pho is also a nourishing dish that comes in a single serving size complete with an abundance of cilantro and tasty roasted duck.
Coffee addicts will surely love their Asian inspired coffee gelato. It comes with a drizzle of dulce de leche and a few crushed coffee granules over the creamy coffee gelato.
Also, we requested our pineapple freeze to be purposely made without alcohol and the waitstaff was more than willing to accommodate our request. Service at its finest.
