Tsui Hang Village 翠享村 has all the elements that make up a supreme dim sum experience

Sunday is a great day to spend with the family enjoying some supreme dim sum. I am talking about locally cooked, fresh quality food, complete with classic presentation in an enjoyable environment.  Luckily, Tsui Hang Village has all of these different elements. Aside from their main branch, presented by the Mira Group in Tsim Sha Tsui, Tsui Hang Village can also found in the Lee Garden. The restaurant isn't crowded early morning and we were lucky enough to find ourselves settled in a pleasant area, enveloped in a relaxing and quiet atmosphere.

Starting with the house specialty, the duo barbecued porks, I personally prefer the Japanese version of the dish over the traditional char siu, especially if both are equally charcoal grilled and sweetened with a honey glaze.

The deep fried toast with milk custard is served perfectly golden brown and cooked to a perfect silky consistency. The sauteed turnip cakes are also enjoyable with their spicy XO sauce.

Moving on to the dim sum, instead of being traditionally steamed, the minced beef balls are cooked in a supreme broth along with a few shredded radishes.

While the beef and egg fried rice isn't anything special, the gigantic steamed bun has a nice wow-factor to it. It is stuffed with a generous serving of minced chicken, pork belly, a whole head of shiitake mushrooms and a hard boiled egg. It is by far the biggest bun I have ever seen!

A feast of a meal would have to include the two seductive piggy buns. Although they are less fluffy in comparison to the chicken bao, the sweet purple potato filling has an unbeatable natural sweet note. The black sesame rolls are also a definite all-time favourite!
