Fukuya, as translated in Chinese, is a house of happiness with a little beautiful backyard of green plants, long corridors and mini glasshouses.
With true sophistication and high end services, it provides an utterly pleasurable experience of traditional Japanese cuisine.
The omakase kaiseki is a seven course meal consisting of the chef's recommendations utilising the seasonal ingredients. Each dish is speechlessly magnificent and of the highest quality.
Favourites include the unbelievably sweet uni on tofu, the eel omelette, the eel cooked in a claypot and the melt in your mouth Wagyu beef. The platter of sashimi fish is unbelievably fresh and the tempura fried mushroom and crab leg is fried to perfection.
The dinner set is complete with a generous slice of irresistibly juicy and sweet Japanese melon and strawberries served with whipped cream. I would honestly recommend this place to anyone who is visiting Kuala Lumpur!
