Best sashimi

The three spoons of uni from The Slanted Door are completely and utterly fresh. Each is topped with enticing black tobiko and a crunchy note of sea salt in addition to the amazingly creamy-yet-tangy avocado mousse underneath. There's even some julienned cucumbers found within the avocado puree. Undoubtedly, this refreshing combination is to die for!

Eaten like a taco, this hot new restaurant in SF and best bar on Mission Street - ICHI Kaikiya, serves the best raw scallop with salmon roe and a notable kombu pickle puree that really adds a nice zing to the dish!

Best tuna poke

Liholiho Yacht Club serves tuna poke with thousand island dressing and a few strips of refreshing radish, served over a crunchy nori cracker. A finishing touch of drizzled sesame oil completes this dish to perfection. I was at a loss of words!

Best bao

The Chairman trucks are some of the most highly-raved about food trucks in the Bay Area of San Francisco. Although they are not easy to locate, especially when they are changing their site locations constantly everyday, they are now serving rice and noodle bowls and salads in addition to their delicious baos at the ground restaurant in Tenderloin!

Another favourite from the Liholiho Yacht Club is the lovely looking beef tongue bao. It is probably the best bao in SF, due to the warm, fluffy and slightly dense steamed bun it is enveloped in. It is then generously drizzled with a poppy seed topping and finally stuffed with two slabs of succulent and supremely tender beef tongue, a kick of chilli kimchi and pickled cucumbers. This combination is so interesting and is highly recommended.

Best taco

Sister to one of the best San Francisco restaurants Lolo, this colourful Mission restaurant focuses on five typical ceviches, in addition to well-known tacos. Their shrimp taco has been breaded with panko bread crumbs, paired with refreshing relish and then finished with a hot chipotle aioli over an extraordinarily fresh and crunchy jicama tortilla.

Let’s talk about the best lobster roll in San Francisco. Woodhouse Fish Co. is an American seafood restaurant that collects fresh seafood (lobster in particular) from the East Coast. It is a great spot for a fix for that seafood craving. It's a place where you can find a big menu of seafood dishes, such as clam chowder, fish and chips, batter-fried fish tacos, steamed crab and rolls.

Listed as one of the best private restaurants as well as one of the top 100 restaurants in San Francisco, The Cavalier is located in the Hotel Zetta on 5th and Mission Street. This all day British gastro-pub, nominated with 3 stars, serves breakfast, lunch, dinner and brunch on the weekend.
Available all day, the signature hen egg hollandaise is served in an egg holder along with ham & cheese finger sandwiches, namely soldiers. No doubt that this dish is top notch especially when the hollandaise dip is made to the perfect tanginess.

The Bi-Rite Creamery's ice cream is the most instagrammed ice cream in all of San Francisco. On 18th Street, in the Mission area, this never-ending line will start queueing at 3pm, but it is certainly worth the wait. Their soft serves are specially made with buffalo milk, which gives an exclusive creaminess and softness to the delectable treat.

Ghirardelli has been renowned for their premium chocolates for a very long time. At the heart of this legendary chocolate brand, next to the Fisherman's Wharf, the Ghirardelli sundae station has mouthwatering fudge sundaes, parfaits or scoops of customisable ice cream. The original Ghirardelli chocolate is undoubtedly velvety and rich, whereas the vanilla with no sugar added is equally delectable. Don't forget the dark chocolate hot fudge and their caramel waffle cone too!
