Our most loved sushi chain, Sen-ryo, has lately launched a new flagship store at Festival Walk in Kowloon Tong. For this grand opening celebration, the Sen-ryo team invited professional sushi chefs who flew all the way from Japan to demonstrate technical live fish filleting and prepare us some premium Japanese refreshments.
True to its name, Sen-ryo has been practicing its uniqueness for over 10 years. Using only traditional and the freshest ingredients, which are delivered straight from the Tsukiji market, it gives Hong Kong a complete experience of the authentic taste of Japanese cuisine.

Starting from a combination of vegetables and mushrooms terrine, it comes with a yuzu-miso sauce to complete the complex flavours and textures. A slightly tart and salty smoked mackerel salad is also tenderly prepared with minced radish and salad leaves.

We are then served with a few slices of freshly cut toro sashimi, two tiers of assorted sashimi including red shrimp, salmon, tuna, yellowtail and a stunningly presented hairy crab. Each item is presented with excellent freshness and a perfect presentation.

Next came a surprising dish of 62 degree slow-cooked pork rack that was perfectly juicy, tender and rich and accompanied by a tasty miso-based sauce.

Last but not least, there is a plate of sushi art represented by handpicked tuna, semi-fatty tuna, avocado snow crab and some signature Sen-ryo sushi. They are neatly presented and drizzled with a secret sauce for a thorough and luxurious sushi experience.
