Kung hei fat choy! As the new Chinese New Year is officially here, perhaps you're like us and want to take the CNY slogan san tai gin kong (healthy body) to heart and be more health conscious. With this in mind, we checked out DK Cuppa Tea, a hidden urban oasis in Sheung Wan, where you can relax and dive into organic teas, coffees, bite-sized morsels and sweet treats. They prepare dreamy and heartwarming afternoon tea sets, such as the “spring symphony”, for you and your special someone to enjoy a romantic afternoon.

Preserved fresh flower gift box
Served in a model of a ferris wheel with blossoming preserved fresh flowers, the tea sets begin with a wide selection of savouries presented in flowerpots composed of Parma ham, wasabi scallop, shrimp, tuna salad, mini cones, crispy salmon puff pastry, alongside some English scones made with natural yeast.

花盆造型鹹點; 巴馬火腿, 山葵帶子, 蝦沙津, 呑拿魚沙津
Korean floral lavender cupcakes, yuzu cupcake with edible flowers
韓式花瓣薰衣草 cupcake, 食用鮮花瓣柚子 cupcake
Cupcakes with Korean floral lavender decorated with edible flowers, a refreshing yuzu cheesecake, and some lovely heart-shaped macarons and chocolates were among an array of exquisite desserts gorgeously displayed.
Moving on to Japanese-pressed cookies, the set was followed with purple sweet potato ice cream using rich Hokkaido milk as its base. We found this to be delightfully creamy.

We enjoyed the iced rose garden cocktail, which is essentially a non-alcoholic cocktail with rose, honey and soda.
Given that this place is owned by DK Aromatherapy, it did not surprise us to discover that part of the afternoon tea experience features five magic cards that provide you with information about some of their essential oils.

Finally, we were presented with a mystical and gorgeous blue eyed necklace containing “fascination” perfume. So pick a date and sweeten this Valentine’s Day with DK Cuppa Tea's delicacies.
