We were delighted to have been able to try Korean fried chicken, kimchi, rice cake and even more K-flavors at the MOYO Foodie club event last Thursday night.
MOYO features a fusion of Korean and Italian cuisine which we found intriguing. It was started by a group of young Korean men who grew up together in Italy.

There were six to seven different tapas offered from the Italian Korean inspired menu which each looked very unique and unassuming. These included sweet potato and taro chips dressed with sweet honey garlic butter sauce (which we found particularly addicting), and the tomato bruschetta with a twist of spicy kimchi.
The naturally sweet corn on the cob grilled with black pepper topped with creamy ricotta was our favourite of them all.

The Korean fried chicken was moist and tender boneless chicken cut into bite size pieces covered with a popcorn coating.
This dish was paired with four selective dips: salt and pepper, honey mustard, barbecue, and sweet and spicy sauce. Truth be told the marinade on its own is already very tasty. We were told it contains gochujang spicy sauce.

Not many desserts are served here so we were given more exciting choices of free flow Korean soju and sake.
