Lunch on the Go - Caesar Salad Wrap Recipe

The sandwich has dominated the lunchbox scene for long enough. It's time to make some room in your weekly lunch routine for one of these riveting roll-ups.

Go healthier - trade in your PB&J sandwich for these flavourful and healthy wraps. You'll look forward to lunch again with a delicious and diet-friendly meal! Think salad!

A bowl of greens are great for lunch, but they don't offer the portability of a sandwich. Combine the two in a delicious roll-up – try making your very own Caesar salad wrap!


Caesar salad wrap 

  • 1 whole grain tortilla
  • 1½ cups kale
  • 1½ tbsp Caesar salad dressing
  • ⅓ cup cooked chicken breast

Caesar salad dressing 

  • ⅓ cup 0% or 2% Greek yoghurt
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp grated parmesan cheese
  • 2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • juice of ½ lemon
  • 2 anchovy fillets (optional)
  • salt & pepper for seasoning


Caesar salad wrap

  1. Tear kale leaves into bite-size pieces, wash and dry in a salad spinner.
  2. Combine kale and the salad dressing in a medium bowl.
  3. Place a piece of saran wrap on a cutting board and put the tortilla on top.
  4. Spread kale leaves and chicken all over the tortilla and roll it tightly.
  5. Wrap the tortilla in saran wrap and cut in half.

Caesar salad dressing

  1. Cut anchovy fillets into small pieces.
  2. Combine all ingredients in a small bowl and mix well.


  • You can substitute the chicken with shrimp, grilled salmon or crunchy vegetables.
  • This recipe makes about 6-8 tbsp of the Caesar salad dressing.
  • Store the leftovers in the refrigerator in an airtight container for up to 1 week.
