Executive Pastry Chef Matthieu Godard has created a menu featuring unique treats made with honey, including a golden macaron called The Bee filled with dark chocolate and honey, alongside a creamy mango and honey mousse, a salted caramel and honey ganache tartlet and more items made using honey that comes from an organic bee farm in Hong Kong. Served at the elegant Palm Court lobby lounge at The Langham, this tea set is presented to you on a honeycomb stand to add to the visual appeal of the experience – a definite Insta-worthy moment. From Thursday to Sunday throughout the promotion period, each guest will take home an exclusive Guerlain Abeille Royale gift set, with honey-based items from the Abeille Royale collection, known for its self-repairing skincare products made with honey from black bees.

Hong Kong fashion brandLoom Loop, founded by one of Hong Kong's leading contemporary designers, Polly Ho, is collaborating with Above and Beyond at Hotel ICON for a modern-style tea by Executive Pastry Chef Danny Ho and Executive Chef Paul Tsui. This specially designed menu includes pork dumplings with shrimp, crispy taro cake with diced abalone and smoked egg with oolong tea leaves. For those with a sweet tooth, indulge in steamed buns with almond custard, Black Forest cake with Iron Buddha tea and eclairs with blueberry cream – all of which can be eaten whilst admiring the gorgeous harbour views. An exclusive Loom Loop business card holder designed solely for Above and Beyond will be given to each afternoon tea guest.

World Pastry Champion Franck Michel is gifting us Hong Kongers with his pastry-making skills in a summer-exclusive afternoon tea. Served at Hong Kong’s Café 103 at The Ritz-Carlton, one of Hong Kong's highest dining points with spectacular views of the city, guests can enjoy a refreshing afternoon tea featuring a variety of seasonal tropical fruits. Picks from the menu include passion choux pastry with vanilla cream and a combination of tropical fruits, served alongside a Heméra Frame – a buttery shortbread with lemon dacquoise, lemon confit and strawberry coulis topped with white chocolate mousse and olive oil jelly. Savoury options are also available, including black truffle asparagus egg salad and a classic smoked salmon dill cream cheese croissant.

Tosca x Alessi

Another special afternoon tea at the one-and-only Ritz-Carlton, served at Michelin-starred Italian restaurant Tosca, also famous for its breathtaking skyline views. Dutch designer Marcel Wanders introduces his Alessi Circus tableware collection in collaboration with Chef Pino Lavarra to form a colourful Circo di Tosca afternoon tea filled with vibrant patterns and shapes to radiate a circus theme. The menu includes an assortment of colourful doughnuts, hot dogs with black truffle and a range of circus treats such as popcorn with chocolate cake, candyfloss and crispy almonds. Adding to the authenticity of the circus vibe, there will be an appearance by a professional magician as entertainment for guests.

Mangoholic Afternoon Tea at Club @28

If you’re a mangoholic, the afternoon tea at Club @28 is perfect, with a menu showcasing three different types of mango: Luzon mango from The Philippines, narcissus mango from Thailand and apple mango from Australia. And if you know your mangoes, you‘ll know that these are some of the best kinds out there. The menu features macadamia chocolate brownies, teppanyaki beef tenderloin skewers, grilled ham and cheese finger sandwiches and gravlax salmon on rye bread. Drinks will also get the full mango treatment, including a milky mango mocktail and fresh mango tea. Each afternoon tea guest will also receive a complimentary gift set from Fresh Line Cosmetics, an organic skin and haircare brand from Greece, as well as a $100 coupon to redeem any of their products. On some weekends, you may also have the chance to take part in a mini spa workshop, where you can craft your own face mask, soap or bug spray, all using natural ingredients.

InterContinental x Shanghai Tang

Luxury fashion brand Shanghai Tang teams up with the InterContinental Lobby Lounge to create a summer afternoon tea set perfect for fashion and food lovers alike. Served in a specially created Shanghai Tang lacquered jewellery box in picture-perfect robin‘s egg blue, the set includes a range of both savoury and sweet delicacies. Notable mentions include sliced lobster with gingko green pea purée on rye bread, smoked salmon rillettes with brioche, alongside Southeast Asian–inspired desserts like a glorious pandan choux puff pastry and black glutinous rice pudding with coconut, ginkgo and goji berries. There are, of course, also traditional freshly baked scones with Devonshire clotted cream and Earl Grey tea and peach/rose jams (because, for us, it‘s not afternoon tea without scones).
