Setting itself apart from the matcha pack in Hong Kong with its in-store stone millery, Aokomi brews its matcha each day from freshly ground tencha, first-harvest green tea leaves imported directly from trusted tea farms in Uji, Japan, making for an unparalleled matcha-drinking experience in the city,

The pioneering matcha café in Sai Ying Pun features different gradings of traditionally prepared “velvet” (thick) and “straight” (thin) tea made from single-cultivar matcha, as well as creating its own proprietary matcha blends.

Aokomi’s signature matcha drink creations include the matcha latte (HKD65/HKD68) crafted with the brand’s “Komi” blend, strawberry matcha cappuccino (HKD60/HKD62), and Ao-cano (HKD65), an iced Americano-matcha hybrid.

On the food front, the café offers a curated selection of sweet and savoury bites, from the tencha pistachio nut butter on sourdough (HKD105), available from Feb. 4, to the milky matcha pudding (HKD42)

Customers can also purchase self-ground tea bags, loose-leaf tea, and Japanese teaware at the serene Sai Ying Pun matcha shop.
