With Guinness on tap and plenty of craic at the ready, our favourite Soho wine bar, Bourke’s, has transformed itself into O’Bourke’s on Mar. 16 and 17 in honour of St Patrick’s Day, Ireland’s boisterous national holiday.

Chef Tara Margarita has designed Irish-inspired food specials to get stuck into, including  a more refined take on fish & chips with the sea bass sando (HKD165) loaded up with tartar sauce, minted peas, and vinegar-laced crisps, oysters Kilpatrick (HKD250/5pcs) with bacon and horseradish, and Spice Bag (HKD110), a messy, moreish medley of fries, breaded chicken, and curry sauce.

Bar manager Aled Burt is handling the drinks for the occasion, which are all headlined by Jameson Irish whiskey. We have our sights set on The Hype (HKD120), a cocktail that adds boysenberry, palo cortado sherry, Guinness foam, and lemon to the mix. Sláinte!

Those of us who want to take home a piece of O’Bourke’s can purchase a limited-edition black or white O’Bourke’s T-shirt (HKD220).
