One of our favoured Taiwanese restaurants in town for its creative, modern takes on that nation’s vibrant cuisine, Check-In Taipei is branching out from its two shops in Causeway Bay and Tsim Sha Tsui with a limited-time pop-up at Hong Kong International Airport this summer 2026.
While you’re waiting to jet off for your summer hols, you can take advantage of the Check-In Taipei food-court pop-up at Departures Level for some tasty sustenance to fortify you on your journey onwards – this means signature dishes that include Taiwanese beef noodles, braised pork rice, Taiwanese fried chicken, and bubble tea, which are available for devouring daily from 7:30AM till 11PM.
The must-order menu item for us though is Check-In Taipei’s airport-exclusive sweet treat of Tieguanyin pineapple pastry mochi tart, an innovative tea-infused riff on Taiwan’s traditional pineapple pastry, here made with fragrant Taiwanese Golden Diamond pineapple. We suggest purchasing a few of these babies to go to enjoy as an in-flight snack when those hunger pangs inevitably strike.
