Gelato may once again be the sweet treat of the year for Hong Kong with the imminent arrival of Yeah Gelato, China’s largest gelato brand with over 1,300 stores in the mainland.

First launched in Beijing in 2011, Yeah Gelato’s popularity in the north has ballooned. Their ethos of serving freshly made gelato daily with a blend of both regionally Chinese and Western flavours, including pistachio containing an approximate 29 nut kernels and Wuchang rice gelato flavours, has had customers hooked.

The brand’s Singapore footprint, reaching five stores this year, may reflect what we can expect here: kiwi, honey jasmine, peach oolong, black sesame, and red dragonfruit flavours, all served whipped and lighter than your usual gelato scoops.

Yeah Gelato is set to open in July at Lee Theatre Plaza behind Times Square.
