Popular Mexican restaurant 11 Westside, founded by Netflix’s The Final Table star chef Esdras Ochoa, has closed suddenly, with no announcement shared online.
It was reported last night (Jul. 28) by customers on social media that the restaurant appeared to be closed.
The doors were shut and lights turned off at 11 Westside when Foodie visited the restaurant during lunch hours today (Jul. 29). The eatery’s phone number has been de-registered. 11 Westside’s online booking system, Tock, is “not currently accepting reservations.”
The Kennedy Town sweetheart has been in business for nearly a decade in the western Hong Kong Island neighbourhood, opening in August 2017. The expansive restaurant stretched to over 4,000 square feet, including two bars with former speakeasy The Wilshire, outdoor seating, and private booth dining.
11 Westside drew crowds for its Mexicali taco menu and sharing plates.
Also operated by Liberty Group, marquee venue Liberty Exchange Kitchen & Bar shuttered in March 2025. It debuted in 2010, enduring support from Hong Kong’s finance circles during its daily happy hour.
Update: in a statement shared exclusively with Foodie, Yong Soo Do, group chef and business development manager of Liberty Group said: “We’re incredibly grateful to everyone who supported 11 Westside Hong Kong over the years, and we’re proud of what the team built there. At this stage, we don’t have any further announcements regarding Hong Kong, but we’ll share any updates through our official channels when the time is right.”
