On Sep. 2, Foodie and social enterprise r é n joined hands to host 200 attendees for the r é n In the Kitchen Charity Night at The Mira Hong Kong.
Supporting r é n’s initiatives to provide long-term employment for the Hong Kong’s disadvantaged and underprivileged youths, attendees enjoyed an eight-course wine-paired menu designed by Hong Kong’s top chefs, featuring Olivier Elzer (L’Envol), Rania Hatoum (R.H Fine Dining), Mitsuru Konishi (Plaisance by Mauro Colagreco), David Lai (Neighborhood), Sebastian Lorenzi (Té Bo), and Loïc Portalier (Louise), Alexis Watrin (The Mira Hong Kong), and Kylie Yang (ZS Hospitality).
Complementing the menu was an auction featuring hot-ticket items such as a 5-course full Amber experience lunch menu for two, the former TATE Dining Room mignardines trolley, and Guangcai porcelain pieces.
Proceeds from ticket sales and auctions items sold on the night helped to fund the r é n Community Foundation with the social enterprises’ work experience programmes and charity events.
