Lobster Bar and Grill’s Sunday roast tradition just got even more enticing with the debut of the Island Shangri-La restaurant’s monthly guest chef series.
The six-month-long series kicks off with a bang on Jun. 22 with chef Agustin Balbi of Michelin-starred Andō showcasing his Latin American heritage in a Sunday roast menu (HKD898 pp) with a difference.
Like all the chefs taking part in the series, chef Agustin has designed a starter, main, and dessert to complement Lobster Bar and Grill chef Cary Docherty’s popular three-course Sunday roast menu.
On Jun. 22, diners will be treated to an extra starter of cured hamachi and spot prawn passion-fruit tiradito, whilst chef Agustin’s roast main option comes in the form of the cracking Argentinian beef with empanadas, salad, chimichurri, and fries. The chef’s coconut, caramelised banana, and dulce de leche flan is the scrumptious sweet addition to the Sunday roast menu’s family-style dessert offerings.
In the coming summer months, Sunday roast guests can look forward to both classic and creative Italian dishes by chef Marcello Scognamiglio of Trattoria Felino on Jul. 27 and chef Antimo Maria Merone of Estro on Aug. 3.
