Brought to Central by the same people behind Bourke’s, Honky Tonks Tavern, and Mendel’s, Twist Pasta Bar opens close by with a menu that is putting pasta on a pedestal.
The pasta restaurant is located next door to Jean-Pierre, Bar Leone, and Ask for Alonzo in a newly developing micro-Italian gastro neighbourhood.
The menu opens with seven pasta dishes, with some inspired by Hong Kong cuisine, such as the bone marrow macaroni (HKD180), made using a curry wagyu brisket ragu and squid ink spaghetti (HKD170). Italian favourites clams linguine (HKD170) and baked rigatoni (HKD180) also feature.
‘Not-pasta’ and ‘post-pasta’ dishes come to the menu too, with small bites like cacio e pepe croquette (HKD60), tramezzino crispy pig ear sando (HKD120), crispy egg roll cannoli (HKD60), and Hong Kong milk tea gelato (HKD60) featuring.
Nine cocktails are included on their drinks menu, all priced from HKD100 to HKD130, and designed to complement the salty pasta dishes served à-la-carte.
