Spooky season has sprung, and with Halloween on the brain, restaurants and bars around town are coming up with creative dishes and drinks to mark the occasion.

Starbucks is getting in on the Halloween fun this year with the launch of its “Haunted Coffee House” promotion in Hong Kong, highlighted by spooky-themed food, drinks, and merchandise.

Purple sweet potato is the star ingredient in the new limited-time lavender-hued beverages, the purple sweet potato latte with mochi bits (HKD57) and purple sweet potato oolong tea latte with mochi bits (HKD57). Both drinks can be ordered hot or iced.

To pair with your beverage, there are two sweet treats on offer: the strawberry lava mummy croissant (HKD30) and monster cookie (HKD26) blending peanut butter and chocolate.

The merch part of the Halloween promotion is possibly the most enticing of all, with 10 adorable themed items available for purchase, from the black cat in apron mini bearista keychain (HKD180) to the 12oz ghost creature mug (HKD180).
