A first for the Aberdeen boat noodles specialist, Lau Kee Boat Noodles is set to make an appearance at Foodie-recommended watering hole Kinsman on Dec. 9 and 10.

Cantonese drinking den Kinsman is an ideal partner for Lau Kee, which has been based on a sampan in Aberdeen for the past four decades.

On board for the two-night pop-up are Lau Kee’s classic boat noodles (HKD138), an iconic combination of char siu, roast duck, poached chicken, fishballs, and flat rice noodles in fish broth, and clam boat noodles (HKD148) with large white clams, fried fish cake, and flat egg noodles.

To complement these comforting bowls of noods, the Kinsman bar team have designed a funky highball for pairing. Finished with dried squid, Fisherman’s Friend (HKD120) mixes Jiangxiaobai baijiu, tequila, Lau Kee white pepper, boat noodle mix, tomato, calamansi, and tonic for a spicy, savoury showdown.
