Matcha is the latest hit all over Hong Kong. With popular matcha-based cafes popping up everywhere, Cha-no-wa is one of the leaders from Japan. Their variety of products, from matcha roll cakes, to cheesecakes and cookies, all are made fresh and are delivered daily to shops with high quality matcha green tea.

The Baumkuchen ring cake is firm to the touch, spongy and extremely moist.

The matcha cookie roll has thin crispy layers filled with a little matcha chocolate.

While both are equally delicious, I truly enjoy the matcha jelly with its subtle bitterness. It comes with red bean paste, candied chestnuts and chewy glutinous rice balls.

The matcha warabimochi is also spot on with a very distinctive toastiness from the soy bean powder.

Call it a pick me up! The matcha tiramisu combines a slice of rather dry matcha roll cake with thick matcha cheese and a generous dusting of bitter matcha powder over light, fluffy whipped cream.

I am totally ecstatic about the utterly delicious matcha roll cake. The moist sponge cake is filled with a delightfully airy matcha cream. It is heavenly to say the least!
