If you’re tired of the typical night markets in Taipei, there’s more to find in the city; try the affordable luxury of Ben Teppanyaki
Arrived in the city on a rainy night, I was starving and fortunately I was able to make it before Ben Teppanyaki’s last order at 8:30pm. The Da’an branch is the main branch of this growing chain restaurant and there are two separate dinning area for hotpot and teppanyaki.
The manager led us to the backyard, which is the VIP path that celebrities use frequently to get rid of paparazzi. We settled at a coffee area with high tables and cosy sofas, quietly waiting for the bar seats.
Ben cuisine is famous for their signature lobster dish. Dinner choices are plentiful and usually served in the form of set menus. The one I picked was Set Dinner II w/ Prime Ribeye and Lamb Chop as main courses and Lobster as Entrée.
Entrée – Live Lobster
Prime Ribeye
and more dishes
Our chef Mr Tsoi was super attentive and detail-minded.
