2017 is off to a delicious start with Test Kitchen’s premier pop-up featuring Chef Gal Ben-Moshe of GLASS. The Israeli chef steps away from his critically acclaimed restaurant in Berlin to showcase his unique modern Arabic cuisine in Hong Kong. Using historic recipes from thousands of years of cooking traditions from the eastern Arabic regions of Lebanon, Syria and Palestine, Chef Gal Ben-Moshe will introduce Hong Kong diners to a 10-course tasting menu full of ingredients rarely seen in this region.
The young chef started his culinary career in Tel Aviv before moving to London to work at Jason Atherton’s Maze restaurant. He further honed his skills with Marcus Wareing at The Berkeley and at Hibiscus, before studying under Grant Achatz at three-Michelin-starred Alinea in Chicago. Four years ago, he decided to celebrate his culinary heritage by opening GLASS in Berlin, a restaurant dedicated to modern Arabic cuisine.
This unique pop-up will take place from 12–15 January, with two seatings each evening at 7pm and 8:15pm. The 10-course wine-pairing dinner is priced at $1,280 per guest. Guests will sample wines sourced by Corney & Barrow from across France and Israel.
