Rosewood Hong Kong is one of the most expensive hotels in Hong Kong – for good reason. Its stunning design alone attracts plenty of attention, and having K11 MUSEA conveniently connected to it just makes the visit more Insta-worthy!

Bayfare Social is a bustling Spanish-fusion restaurant nestled in Rosewood that comprises a bar, dining area and balcony, featuring chic decor and modern jazz music – with a surprisingly affordable menu.

First up we tried the tuna tartare with avocado and radish ($140). The tuna was refreshingly creamy and paired well with the avocado. This starter definitely set the tone for the entire meal.

The rotisserie chicken ($140 for ½ ) was flavourful and tender, and the sauce was interesting, with a hint of mushroom perhaps?

We also tried the Spanish skewers ($240 for 12), which included beef, pork, chicken, prawn and vegetable variations. The prawns, in particular, were a crowd favourite with their crispy exterior and juicy bite.

Of course, we couldn’t miss the seafood paella ($240). It was extremely aromatic, and the rice had a nice chew. We polished off the entire thing! The best part was that none of the shellfish was difficult to pry open, which is a common occurrence in paella.

For the pasta dish, we chose the rigatoni with alfredo sauce and Parma ham ($125 for large). It was quite indulgent, so be sure to share this one.

Because we weren’t carb-loaded enough, we also ordered two flatbreads to share. The spicy pepperoni flatbread ($130) oozed with mozzarella and resembled regular pizza with a chewier base. The Parma ham flatbread ($105) was on the lighter side but just as flavourful.

To end the night, we had these churros with chocolate sauce ($70). Incredibly fluffy with a sugary crunch, they paired well with the warm chocolate sauce. The cinnamon flavour was distinct without being overpowering.

Verdict

Bayfare Social boasts impressive food and service ataffordable prices. Its chilled and modern ambience is ideal for casual get-togethers with friends and family.
