In light of COVID-19, we encourage diners to take precautions when going out. You can also support your favourite restaurants by getting takeaway and delivery.

Every day when we walk past the soon-to-open SoHo Bakehouse, we eagerly crane our neck to sneak a peek inside. Slated to open tomorrow, Friday, 30 October, the second location of the wildly popular bakery features aromatic breads and pastries baked freshly on the premises, with the diligent team of bakers starting up the ovens at 2am each morning.

A new addition to the selection of baked goodies is the tropézienne, a brioche bun “sandwich” filled with Tahitian vanilla pastry cream. Another sweet newcomer is the matcha doughnut, plump, airy and fresh from the fryer.

As this new location only serves takeaway options, there’s a selection of new savouries ranging from sausage rolls, to quiches, to sandwiches for those grabbing a quick gourmet lunch fix along the escalator. New sandwiches, including lox pretzel and egg and bacon focaccia, will be on offer. However, we are most excited about the Chinese-style beef brisket sandwich, stewed for hours in aromatic broth.

There’s even an app (soon to be launched) that will allow customers to pre-order as they walk down (or up) to SoHo so that their pastries and sarnies are fresh and ready for pick up as they pass by the busy spot.

Open daily, 7am–7pm.

5 Staunton Street, SoHo, Central
