Sustainability consultancy Food Made Good HK’s annual Food Made Good Awards honour those in the F&B industry who are making meaningful change and normalising sustainability. This year’s awards see 10 winners in total, with the inclusion of two new categories – the Open Right Award for the eatery that has best adapted to pandemic requirements and the People’s Choice Award, chosen by the public for serving up the tastiest plates of planet-friendly food.
This year’s awards ceremony was held earlier this week at The Mira Hong Kong, where Henderson Land Group was the lead sponsor for the third year in a row. This property developer with a longstanding commitment to sustainability has partnered with Food Made Good HK to support an important sustainable dining initiative, the Carbon Labelling Programme (CLP), to jointly pilot a collaborative collective with the shared goal of educating diners on food’s environmental impact.
Notably, Food Made Good HK CEO Heidi Yu Spurrell announced at the ceremony that the consultancy has been rebranded to Future Green and will now be dedicated to supporting businesses beyond the F&B and hospitality industries.
“Through Future Green, we can provide much-needed food sustainability guidance to schools, corporations and local government institutes, to name a few. Our deep knowledge of food systems and methodologies are relevant to many sectors outside of hospitality.” – Heidi Yu Spurrell, Food Made Good HK CEO
