Derived from the Hindu concept of “leela”, meaning divine play or sport of the gods, the Indian restaurant takes diners on a captivating culinary journey, paying homage to India’s influential empires, with a special focus on the Maurya Empire of circa 300 BCE.

Leela’s menu boasts a range of signature dishes that celebrate India’s rich heritage and flavours. One standout dish is the Lucknowi tokri chaat (HKD118), featuring a unique edible basket filled with potato patties, chickpeas, saunth (dried ginger), curd, and tamarind chutney.
Another must-try dish is the chukandar oxtail gosht (HKD288), showcasing the culinary traditions of Punjab. It combines oxtail with beetroot and aromatic spices and is a tribute to the Maurya Empire’s culinary heritage.
For those seeking even bolder flavours, the Saoji lamb shank (HKD228) is a tantalising creation inspired by the cuisine of the Kandahar region of Afghanistan. Infused with pomegranate and fennel, this dish perfectly balances tender lamb meat with aromatic spices.
