Gustaci Pizzalounge has reportedly shut its doors after multiple calls and messages have been left unanswered, Google marking the restaurant as “temporarily closed”, and hoarding going up for a new restaurant, marking the end of a top pizza spot in Hong Kong.

An advertisement board has been installed outside the now-former pizza restaurant for a new steak concept – Pasteako – coming soon, pointing to a pasta-meets-steak restaurant taking over Gustaci Pizzalounge.

Gustaci Pizzalounge

Swinging open its doors in January 2021, Gustaci Pizzalounge made it its mission to serve bona fide Neapolitan pizza proofed in-house and cooked to perfection inside the pizzeria’s imported wooden ovens.

Executive chef Angelo, a Naples native, joined with Claudio and Boroka Cimmino to serve pillowy, complex, traditional made-to-order pizza at the PMQ restaurant. Their signature pizza margherita was one to marvel at for its simplicity, elegance, and power of tang and sweet creaminess.
