In an announcement on Instagram on Apr. 12, legendary Japanese drinks expert Shingo Gokan posted a message to recruit budding front-of-house and bartenders to a new concept in Hong Kong that’s set to open this July.
With an official name and concept to be shared with the public “in the coming weeks”, the post reads, little is known about the opening, besides Shingo’s imminent arrival to shake up the Hong Kong F&B scene.
Shingo Gokan is the founder of SG Group, a bar concepts group operating several Asia’s 50 Best bars in both Tokyo and Shanghai, including Speak Low and Sober Company in China’s finance capital and The SG Club and SG Low in Japan’s capital city.
