MICHELIN Bib Gourmand Brass Spoon pho restaurant chain has been secretly operating a new restaurant in Central under the name of IYKYK since mid July.

As confirmed by staff working at the location, the restaurant on Wellington Street is a new addition to the chain, which also operates locations in Wan Chai and Wong Chuk Hang. When pressed on why the restaurant has been shunning Brass Spoon branding, the restaurant manager refused to answer.

The menus, prices, and classic pho flavours at IYKYK remain identical to the Vietnamese restaurant chain. Their former Central restaurant on Pottinger Street closed in November 2023 owing to lease-renewal challenges.

Brass Spoon was founded in 2015 by owner-chef Sebastien Vong, who trained professionally in France and worked at his family’s Vietnamese restaurant.
