Following two decades of success as one of Hong Kong’s top hotels, picking up a Foodie Forks 2024 Best Hotel F&B Programme award in the process, The Landmark Mandarin Oriental in Central is set to close from the end of October as the hotel undergoes a transformative refurbishment programme.
One way in which the hotel is saying goodbye to the past whilst toasting to the future is with the lobby party from 7PM on Oct. 25 and 26 honouring both all-day diner MO Bar and speakeasy Please Don’t Tell (PDT).
Free-flow champagne, red and white wine, cocktails, mocktails, and soft drinks are the heroes of this two-night celebratory event, along with interactive food booths led by culinary director Richard Ekkebus. The all-you-can-eat bites include MO Bar’s signature lobster roll, a crispy Korean chicken bun, and a caviar-meets-vodka shot.
Also along for the ride are a line-up of MO Bar’s current and past DJs, delivering live electronic music from 8PM each night, and the return of award-winning alumni mixologists John Ng from MO Bar (now the wine and spirits director at Tasting Kitchen Media Group and the academy chair of Asia’s 50 Best Bars for Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan) and PDT’s Chanel Adams (currently leading The Bamboo Bar at the Mandarin Oriental, Bangkok).
Advance tickets to this epic bash, which are inclusive of unlimited food and drinks, are currently priced at HKD1,103 per person and can be purchased online.
