Muslim travellers and Hong Kongers can kick off the festivities of Ramadan this spring at Café Kool at Kowloon Shangri-La with the returning “Blessing Feast of Ramadan” halal dinner buffet.

Available from tomorrow (Feb. 17) till Mar. 22, Café Kool begins the month of reflection and fasting with a sumptuous dinner buffet featuring halal dishes stretching from the Middle East to the Far East.

On the special month-long menu one can sink one’s teeth into signatures such as the whole lamb stuffed with fragrant mandi rice, Turkish lamb kofta, Malaysian slow-braised lamb shank curry, and Indonesian beef rendang.

Included in the buffet’s 12 live food stations are the Middle Eastern dessert favourites of mahalabia with rose water and orange-scented date cake with caramel sauce.

On Mar. 20, customers can book a table at the buffet restaurant to celebrate Eid al-Fitr to mark the end of the month of fasting, with special arrangements expected to amp up the celebrations.
