Once a noodle specialist, Mama Tiger in Central is now serving a new and expanded menu that flexes chef Thanit Changchai’s flavour-bonding skills.

The Thai restaurant’s new menu welcomes 13 dishes to the dining room, encompassing skewers, curries, noodles, rice, and desserts.

On the skewer front, the beef chuck roll with lime chilli sauce (HKD98) and chicken thigh with pickled egg yolk (HKD68) carry a snappiness that vibrates on the palate.

For heartier dishes, the smoked duck nam tok salad (HKD128), electrified with pickled egg yolk and lime dressing, gets the heart racing, equally so with the fried duck leg and green curry (HKD178) with its soothing flavours.

The newly arrived stir-fried flat rice noodles (HKD128) bring balance to the table with a vegetable infusion.
