Gelato might once again be the sweet treat of the year for Hong Kong with the imminent arrival of Yeah Gelato, China’s largest gelato brand with over 1,300 shops in the country.

First launched in Beijing in 2011, Yeah Gelato’s popularity in the north has ballooned. The chain’s ethos of serving freshly made gelato in a blend of both regional Chinese and Western flavours, including pistachio containing an approximate 29 nut kernels per scoop and Wuchang rice, has got customers hooked.

The brand’s Singapore footprint, reaching five shops this year, reflects what we can expect here in Hong Kong, with flavours of kiwi, honey jasmine, peach oolong, black sesame, and red dragonfruit served whipped and lighter than your usual gelato scoops.

Yeah Gelato is set to open in July at Lee Theatre Plaza, located just behind Times Square in Causeway Bay.
