We’re firm believers that Hong Kong needs more quality Middle Eastern restaurants, and Mila, a MICHELIN Guide Doha winner housed within Rosewood Doha, is temporarily filling this gap with a summer pop-up at Rosewood Hong Kong.

Making his debut in the city on Wednesday through Sunday evenings from Jul. 15 to Aug. 9, Mila chef de cuisine Marc Mahfouz is set to take over the Hong Kong hotel’s bright and airy Botanical Kitchen private venue with his signature modern, comfort-driven Levantine and Mediterranean creations developed at the Doha eatery.

Diners can opt for the “Leave it to chef Marc” option with a set menu (HKD688 pp) of Mila’s greatest hits for the entire table to share or select from a wide range of à-la-carte plates, ranging from salads, soups, and mezze to skewers, mains, and pide.

In particular, we have our sights set on the Mila makdous (HKD198) stuffed aubergine with tarator, walnut, and pomegranate, tyropita (HKD198) Greek feta pastry with chilli, watermelon, wild rocket, and Greek flower honey, chicken tawouk (HKD278) from the skewers section, and slow-cooked lamb shank kibbeh (HKD428).

Mila’s warm and vibrant vibe will extend onto Botanical Kitchen’s outdoor terrace, with shisha and a bespoke cocktail menu also on the cards.
