The 18th edition of the MICHELIN Guide Hong Kong & Macau 2026 was announced at a ceremony held at the Grand Lisboa Palace Resort Macau on Mar. 19, bestowing stars to 77 restaurants in Hong Kong. A total of 76 Hong Kong restaurants earned stars at the 2025 ceremony.

Much anticipation gripped the 2026 ceremony in Macau, following last year’s ceremony in which three Hong Kong restaurants lost stars. This year, Sushi Saito lost its star.

Two new Hong Kong restaurants won one star in 2026, namely China Tang and Sushi Takeshi.

Cristal Room by Anne-Sophie Pic was promoted to two stars, whilst L’Atelier de Joël Robuchon re-entered the guide with two stars after reopening in late 2025. It formerly held three stars for 13 consecutive years from 2012.

Beyond the restaurant awards, the MICHELIN Guide Hong Kong & Macau 2026 bestowed the Young Chef Award to chef Kin GwanJu of SOL, Sommelier Award to Floriane Hureau of Caprice, and Service Award to Jenny Ye of The Huaiyang Garden in Macau.

Chef Paul Lau Ping-Lui of Tin Lung Heen won the Mentor Chef Award, introduced for the first time in the ceremony’s 18-year history.
