Lin Heung Lau is gearing up for the opening of its fourth location in Hong Kong, this time at Hong Kong International Airport, replacing a fixture of the departure hall.
Hoarding has been installed at the site of the former Maxim’s Jade Garden restaurant in Terminal 1, advertising the imminent arrival of one of Hong Kong’s most popular dim sum brands.
The airport location is expected to open in early summer 2026 with more than 300 seats set across 13,000 square feet of space.
The brand’s classic push carts and traditional teahouse design elements are expected to add to the spectacle of the dim sum restaurant, opening in the restricted Terminal 1 dining area for departing passengers.
The news comes as Lin Heung Lau moves to its new Sheung Wan location on Des Voeux Road Central today (May 11), following 46 years serving yum cha in Central.
In 1926, Lin Heung Lau opened two branches in Central and Mong Kok, with the former moving to its now-closed Wellington Street location in 1980.
