Local biryani buffs can anticipate a fusion and interpretation of India’s favourite rice dish with the meeting of Leela and Tokyo’s Biriyani Osawa next month.

On Jun. 24 and 25, the two Indian restaurants will join forces for an exclusive dinner series placing biryani in its deserved light. Tokyo-based chef Takamasa Osawa brings his love for Indian food to the dining table, rooted in his former student years in the country.

The menu (HKD1,188 pp) begins with lamb nihari shorba, tuna papdi chaat, lamb galouti kebab, and masala fish cheek ramen with idiyappam, before a selection of four luxury biryanis, including Japanese unagi and sansho, Wagyu shoulder and burdock, Guangdong duck, and lobster

A dessert of cardamom and bergamot peel phirnee caps off the night. Only 50 seats are available for each evening, so book fast!
