Those in Hong Kong this summer are earning our fair share of both egg tarts (in this case, pastéis de nata) and gelato. The newest arrival in the addictive former camp is London’s artisanal pastéis de nata brand Santa Nata.

London has gone mad for these Portuguese egg tarts, produced carefully using custom-made equipment to create their signature flaky and crispy tart shells filled with a light lemony and cinnamony creamy custard.

At the Hong Kong shop, pastéis de nata (HKD14) is sold in boxes of two, four, and eight, with pão de deus (HKD25), a desiccated coconut brioche bun, and the Santa Nata brioche (HKD25) croissant brioche complementing the eggy bites. More than a dozen caffeinated beverages are on offer to pair with your pastries.

Santa Nata operates five stores in the British capital, one in Oxford, U.K., two in the Middle East, and one in Istanbul.
