Hong Kong’s next friendly Soho watering hole opening is The Boar, slated for a September 2026 debut on Elgin Street.

The team behind Peel Street wine bar Bourke’s, who also run nearby Honky Tonks Tavern and Twist Pasta Bar, are a mainstay in the Soho area, well loved for curating venues that offer laid-back vibes and high-quality food and drink with a creative Aussie touch.

The group have also made their presence known beyond Soho, venturing as far afield as Lamma Island with Terracotta Lamma. In Kennedy Town, NY-style deli Mendel’s has made a mark for the team.

Self-described as “your new local,” The Boar’s social media explains that the newcomer is housed in a two-storey space. It features an all-day menu of beer and bar bites on the ground floor and an upstairs dining room focusing on elevated British recipes.
