Sláinte! That’s how the Irish toast over glasses of frothy Guinness and the presumed name for the new Irish bar coming to Soho this summer.
Adorned on an advertisement board across the property are three dark, roasty pints, a preparation for the many, many pints of the black stuff once the pub opens. We expect to be teleported to Dublin soon.
The Irish bar will be joining recent Wyndham Street entrant Fello and also 180º Modern Fire Grill, opening in September from the people behind French restaurants Babette and Chouchou. The former has won over bar-goers, with lines lasting up to two hours to nab a space in the bar.
The 60 Wyndham Street address has enjoyed a meaty history over the past 15 years. Yakiniku Sho and JJJ Korean Steakhouse once stood in its place during the 2020s, but fond Soho-heads can remember the presence of El Gaucho and Wagyu prior to this.
As always, Foodie readers, we will provide you with more information about this new opening soon!
