Clarence has announced the closure of its restaurant at Central’s H Code and a move a few blocks east to Wyndham Street next month.
Targeting a reopening date of Oct. 2, the French restaurant sheds its fine-dining essence for a “more relaxed French dining experience,” led by ingredients and the purity of flavours, according to the team.
The opening will welcome a “soon-to-be-revealed [menu] featuring reimagined classics alongside new creations.”
Clarence’s new home replaces Orka Restaurant & Bar at the butt-end of Wyndham Street, neighbouring New Punjab Club to its left.
Chef Olivier Elzer’s flagship restaurant opened in February 2022 with a focus on traditional French flavours with Asian twists.
Wyndham Street has recently become Hong Kong’s trendy dining hub, with Fello and 180° Modern Fire Grill already moving in and Irish bar Sláinte and Chengdu’s live music salon Sofa Bar Livehouse opening on the strip soon.
