Beyond the usual trappings of fine-dining establishments in Central, Wan Chai, and Tsim Sha Tsui, one-thirtyone restaurant, tucked away in a hidden cove of Sai Kung, is your answer to a fine-dining culinary experience in the New Territories.

Numbering as one of the only establishments to offer refined meals in the north of the city, one-thirtyone has existed as a destination-dining location since 2000, founded by Kim Chung.

Sai Kung restaurant one-thirtyone offers contemporary European cuisine using locally sourced produce from farms in Yuen Long, Sheung Shui, and Tai Po. The three-storey Mediterranean-style building serves as a dreamy getaway for those seeking a novel meal.

Lunch is priced at HKD680 per person and dinner at HKD1,380 per person. A look at the lunch menu sees dishes like pan-seared Hokkaido scallop, butternut soup, and French yellow chicken, whilst the dinner menu presents hearty plates like duck consommé, white codfish, and roasted beef prime rib.
