Learning upon this outrageous offer by Castelo Concepts, we jump up and down in excitement. That’s why we spared both our Monday and Tuesdays on the same week to try out these two restaurants for you.
Wagyu Lounge
Right next to the frequented Flying Pan in SoHo, Wagyu Lounge stars a lounge setting, a bar table as well as a dance floor for all-day dining. Exuding a rich down-to-earth ambience, what’s more to love about Wagyu Lounge is its Monday and Tuesday Buy 1 get 1 Free dinners. Perfect for a two-people date to a large party accomodation, this rustic eatery really impressed us upon the quality of their plats.
With minted peas that gave a spark of freshness to our palettes, the Scallop and Pancetta Risotto ($140) pleasantly surprised us with its creamy, rich sauce that went perfectly well with the meat.
A favourite for every meat lover, this Hickory Smoked BBQ Pork Ribs ($200) was the biggest half-rack we’ve encountered. The tender meat was suspended with the ideal amount of fat that melted off the bones (and in our mouths). While the texture of the meat really impressed us, the sauce disappointed us (our allegation is that the sauce was pure ketchup).

Jaspas
Popular amongst both locals and expats, Jaspas is an exotic fusion restaurant that serves big portions perfect for sharing. Its upbeat atmosphere and reasonably priced food is even more popular on its Monday and Tuesdays, where it offers a two for one discount.
We loved what we had for our starter: the Steamed Fresh Juicy Plump Mussels in White Wine Cream Sauce ($125), which were very plump indeed. What we loved about this classic was the crunch of the caramelised diced onions which added to the explosion of flavour that the freshness of the molluscs offered.
Its unique Texas Chicken Pizza ($135) with lightly spiced grilled chicken was almost too big as a single main. The texture of the meat with the special barbecque sauce drizzled on top made this a comfort food for all.
