Mercedes me has been on the radar as it opened bang in the middle of Central right on Queen’s Rd. It is a lifestyle concept, the first of its kind in Hong Kong, that combines the glamor of luxury cars with the enticing allure of good food by those who brought us the likes of Limewood and Fish & Meat. Mercedes have been opening stores like this worldwide, but this is the first in Asia, following on from Hamburg and Milan.
This new and unique venue in Central will showcase the latest cars, news and technologies of the automobile leader Mercedes Benz while its partner Maximal concepts strikes to offer the best culinary experience, all driven by the “The Best or Nothing” motto and philosophy. The 408 square metre space will also be home to a variety of different entertainments, ranging from F1 race screenings to art exhibitions to fashion shows.
Rather than limiting themselves to one particular style, the chefs at Mercedes me will draw inspiration from different leading culinary regions around the world including Spain, Japan and Peru. Ingredients will be top-notch and sourced from around the globe. Signature dishes include Sea urchin with fig, nori cracker, oyster leaf and ponzu, Fresh burrata with tomato, cherry, black sesame and lavender as well as the Tiger prawn shiso roll with yuzu kosho pesto.
