Located on Wyndham Street, Wagyu does three-course set lunches including tea, coffee or a soft drink at $170. Although famous for their Australian flame-grilled steak, those not in the mood for a heavy lunch will not be disappointed with their lighter main course offerings.

3. La Rotisserie
To be fair you probably know about this one, but it is just so good we can’t leave it off the list. Tried, tested and very much approved by the Foodie team, La Rotisserie serves up a lunch set with a quarter roast chicken, a side dish and either homemade soup or iced tea, all for a smart sum of $72. More of a takeaway place than a sit down restaurant, a La Rotisserie lunch is the ideal choice for a quick and no-hassle meal.

4. Viet Kitchen
A set lunch at Viet Kitchen will set you back a modest $98 with your choice of a starter and a main, including their signature pho and Banh Mi sandwich – perfect for satisfying your Vietnamese food cravings without breaking the bank. We think this is some of the tastiest Vietnamese in Hong Kong, so it is a delight to be able to enjoy it all times of the day for less than $100.

5. Doppio Zero
This Italian restaurant, at the ground floor of The Pemberton is the go-to place for a hearty pasta fix. Priced between $138 and $188, choose from a selection of appetisers, pastas or other mains and drinks, plus you get the dessert of the day. The menu is quite extensive for a simple set lunch, meaning there’s something for everybody.

6. Blue Butcher
Brought to you from the streets of NYC is the restaurant’s famed Butcher and Fries lunch set: for $180, dig into a cold starter buffet, your main course of choice which includes dry-aged grain-fed USDA rib eye and BBQ beef brisket, and all-you-can-eat fries.

7. Seoul Bros
Opposite Ho Lee Fook is where you will find the entrance to Seoul Bros, whose goal is to mimic the street food of Korea with international twists sold at prices unheard of in Central. A set of banh mi, fries, corn and soda will set one back $78, and chicken with Sapporo draft beer a tidy $88.

8. Wa San Mai
A little out of the way unless you happen to work within the Causeway Bay area, Wa San Mai is worth the 10-minute-or-less MTR ride you’ll take to get there. The lunch sets, which start at $130 and include a salad, either udon or soba, appetisers and miso soup (and just an extra $10 for a scoop of their house made ice cream), are definitely all great value for the money.

9. Lily & Bloom
They take lunch very seriously over at Lily & Bloom: priced at $168, indulge in their soup of the day and dessert, and hack your way through the salad, seafood, mac ‘n’ cheese and carving stations in between. Prepare to be very, very stuffed, but also exhilaratingly happy.

10. Burger Circus
$88 of your finest dollars will entitle you to a USDA Prime three-way chuck 5oz burger and house-made soda at Burger Circus. Located just off the escalators on Hollywood Road, it’s a convenient place to spend a lunch hour or drop in quickly and grab a take away. We are also huge fans of their pumpkin pie which is running for the special autumn season. Eat much pie.
