(1) Events and Communications Associate – English

This position reports directly to Foodie’s COO. You will be responsible for planning and executing our signature events. You will have plenty of room to be creative in coming up with interesting events, and you’ll also need to have your business head on to prepare proposals and budgets and logistically make the events come alive with meticulous on-site coordination. Essentially, you will be an ambassador of Foodie and the revered and well-known Foodie Club for our members while maintaining positive working relationships with clients, vendors and partners.

Another key aspect of this job is planning and executing Foodie’s digital and social media strategies, which includes creating and curating content.

Requirements:

  • 1–2 years PR and/or marketing and/or social media experience is preferred, but not required
  • Excellent written and spoken English (native speaker required)
  • Good written and spoken Cantonese and/or Mandarin is a plus
  • Excellent communication, organisation and time-management skills
  • Responsible, self-motivated, presentable and a good team player
  • Able to work flexible hours as needed (e.g., to run Foodie Club events on weeknights and weekends, to respond/react on our digital and social media platforms)
  • Able to work independently, creatively and resourcefully
  • Good listening, presentation and customer-relationship skills
  • Strong ability to problem-solve and manage under pressure
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
  • Proficient in social media platforms like Facebook and Instagram (proficiency in WeChat is a plus), as well as relevant applications and editing software
  • Knowledge of food and the food and beverage industry is a plus
  • Event management and online advertising experience is a plus
  • Graphic design, photography and videography skills/experience is a plus

(2) Events and Communications Associate – Chinese

This position has the same criteria as above, but with Chinese speaking and writing skills.

(3) Business Development Coordinator

To expand our sales team, we are looking for someone to work with our Director of Business Development. Your task will mainly focus on generating sales leads for all Foodie’s products, responding to enquiries, preparing proposals and closing deals. A key element for winning contracts is to have a healthy customer database achieved by actively and effectively managing the entire process, ensuring successful deals with happy clients. You’ll also work within an integrated team to assist with Foodie events, along with the necessary client account management.

Requirements:

  • 1–2 year sales and/or marketing experience is preferred, but not required
  • Good written and spoken English
  • Good written and spoken Cantonese is preferred; Mandarin proficiency is a plus
  • Excellent communication, organisation and time-management skills
  • Presentable, self-motivated, responsible and a good team player
  • Able to work flexible hours as needed (e.g., to assist at Foodie events and attend networking events on weeknights and weekends)
  • Able to work independently
  • Good listening, presentation and customer relationship skills
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
  • Proficient in social media platforms like Facebook and Instagram (proficiency in WeChat is a plus), as well as relevant applications and editing software
  • Knowledge of food and the food and beverage industry is a plus
  • Event management and online advertising experience is a plus
