1. Commissary

Commissary Delicious USA RibsAlways a popular choice for good, ol’ American classics, visit Commissary to enjoy BBQ pork ribs ($228) and Brooklyn Lager ($70). The ribs feature US baby-back ribs and applewood chips used for smoking to give the meat its distinctive flavour, while Brooklyn Lager is a perfect accompaniment to those ribs and a refreshing antidote to Hong Kong’s hot, humid summer days.

2. Daarukhana

Daarukhana Delicious USA Short Rib and Cod

Modern Indian restaurant Daarukhana will be serving up some delicious US dishes with its burra short rib ($388) served with mixed chutney, using USDA Prime Rib and US potatoes, and radhuni black cod ($218), which utilises California black cod and US mustard. Like your American ingredients in liquid form? Ask for some Jack Daniels No. 7 or Tito’s Handmade Vodka (both $108).

For a taste of the Mediterranean in the heart of Central, head to Estiatorio KEIA for a US rib-eye steak ($448) served with mushrooms and US baby potatoes.

4. Flying Pig Bistro

Flying Pig Bistro Ribs

At Sai Ying Pun gem Flying Pig Bistro, get spoilt for choice with USA beef cheeks ($248) paired with red wine reduction, green asparagus and roasted garlic mashed potato – all US ingredients. You can also try the USA pulled pork sliders ($148) with homemade BBQ sauce or, if you’re feeling famished, order the USA baby-back ribs ($198) with orange BBQ sauce.

5. FoFo by el Willy

Fofo by el Willy Hong Kong

If you’re craving Spanish food (and some gorgeous views of Hong Kong), visit FoFo by el Willy for the Alaskan king crab ($188) with hollandaise, tomato salsa and US potatoes or the US pork tomahawk ($225) with homemade BBQ sauce, roasted aubergine and US asparagus. When it’s time for dessert, indulge your sweet tooth with a cranberry and fig tart ($88) served with rum raisin ice cream, made with US cranberries and butter.

For a hearty Italian-American meal, head to Franks for the melt-in-the-mouth braised short rib with creamy polenta and US heirloom carrots ($248) and wash it down with some Brooklyn Lager ($78).

7. Ginger Grill (Ocean Park)

If you’re headed to Ocean Park (or just need a delicious reason to visit), pop by Ginger Grill for the restaurant’s massive grilled US Prime bone-in rib-eye ($1,088) served with a mushroom bourguignon sauce made with Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon.
