Well, this is not a collab we would have ever anticipated, but it’s one we’re welcoming with open arms!

On Saturday, 13 July 2019 from 11am at ifc mall, American burger bar Shake Shack is partnering with our very own fine-dining Cantonese restaurant The Chairman – which scored big at this year’s World’s 50 Best Restaurants awards ceremony in Singapore – to offer a limited-edition Cantonese-inspired burger and milkshake, while supplies last.

Wonder what The Chairman Shack and The Chairman Shake are all about?

The Chairman Shack

We went to a media preview today and can exclusively reveal that The Chairman Shack ($80) – the brainchild of The Chairman’s chef-owner, Danny Yip, and Shake Shack Culinary Director Mark Rosati – features a mouth-watering combo of an all-natural Angus beef burger topped with 12-hour slow-cooked caramelised onion, grilled ox tongue, pickled radish, Sichuan pepper, Chinese bean sauce and butter lettuce. The patty was a savoury umami bomb, with the sweetness of the caramelised onion proving to be the strongest condiment component.

The Chairman Shake ($48) is vanilla custard based laced with the subtle floral hint of osmanthus and tart pops from goji berries.

The first 100 people queued up when Shake Shack ifc’s doors open at 11am on 13 July will be gifted with a limited-edition Shake Shack x The Chairman ornament.
