In partnership with Flying Pig Deli Social
Flying Pig Deli Social has a special vibe going on. It’s partly owing to the cool urban art that adorns the walls and decorates the exterior; it’s partly the tempting small bites, burgers and salads that sate the appetite; a huge part is the neighbourhood feeling that the eatery exudes effortlessly. It’s comfortable, friendly and cool, and the food is great and moderately priced. It’s also dog friendly – good news for our furry-footed friends.
The weekend crowds flock here for the big, hearty breakfasts that can be eaten al fresco while people watching all the cool cats of the trendy Sai Ying Pun ‘hood. The signature Flying Pig Breakfast, for instance, includes bacon, egg, sausage, hash browns, baked beans, tomato and roast potatoes. The restaurant uses specially imported European produce to create its signature porcine dishes and comfort foods with an Asian twist.
Flying Pig’s founder, Christopher Przemyski, wanted to create a friendly and welcoming venue with a community feel. The indoor-outdoor café and bar has a naturally social atmosphere, with comfortable furnishings and a relaxed vibe. This makes it an ideal working spot for those with the freedom to choose their own office space. A big screen for watching sport and a swap/borrow communal bookcase add to the neighbourhood appeal, drawing in everyone from the area into this one social spot.
Along with the above, it’s the perfect venue to book out for private events, parties, wine tastings or film nights.
What more could you ask for? Check it out – you’ll probably see everyone you know there anyway!
