If you would prefer to stay at home, the Gentleman’s Survival Kit ($7,888/2) is all you need to make your evening extra special. This fine-dining takeaway kit includes a five-course menu crafted by Chef Opocensky featuring several signature dishes from Restaurant Petrus and is accompanied by a bottle of champagne and a box of 24 chocolates. Expect only the finest ingredients at Metropolitain this Valentine’s Day! The beloved Parisian restaurant has put together a mouth-watering three-course menu ($788/2) that showcases all their favourite bistro-style dishes. The set menu, which includes two glasses of AYALA champagne, starts with a delectable prawn cocktail with lobster jelly and Avruga caviar, followed by succulent beef tenderloin Rossini topped with pan-fried foie gras. To finish, savour the strawberry napoleon, a delicate millefeuille with fluffy cream and strawberry kisses, in celebration of St Valentine himself. Available from 12–15 February.

For an exquisite meal at home that saves you the task of cooking, order the San Valentino takeaway set ($688/person) from 208 Duecento Otto, available only on 14 February. Take to the water on Valentine’s Day! Iconic red-sailed junk Aqualuna has two fun options on the 14th and 15th. You can opt for a dim sum cruise ($450/person) from 12:15–3pm courtesy of Dim Sum Library or an afternoon tea cruise ($388/person) from 3:30–5pm that includes rose dumplings, mini tiramisu, macarons, scones and even a glass of bubbly. Charbonnel et Walker

You can never go wrong with chocolate, especially the decadent truffles from The Queen’s favourite chocolatier, Charbonnel et Walker. This Valentine’s Day (available from 1 February), they’ve partnered with local illustrator Kitty Wong to produce a gorgeous heart-shaped, Hong Kong-themed box containing either pink Marc de Champagne truffles ($338) or the Valentine’s special of sea salt hazelnut praline hearts ($338).

Club Rangoon

Club Rangoon’s Burmese Affair four-course set lunch menu ($789/person) for Valentine’s Day includes three cheeky cocktail pairings (you can also choose to skip the drinks, with the price dropping to $589). We heart the idea of the restaurant’s signature laphet thoke, or tea-leaf salad, to start matched with the Love Bug cocktail, made with Widges London Dry Gin, homemade apricot brandy, pink rose syrup and lime, topped up with sparkling wine.

Diplomat x Yardbird

On the 14th, newly Michelin-starred Yardbird chef Matt Abergel will be taking over acclaimed bar The Diplomat’s kitchen for an all-you-can-eat kushiage menu ($500/person) dubbed The Broken Hearts Club (although we think the hearts will be swiftly mended following this awesome meal). Along with all this deep-fried goodness, wet your whistle with Sunday’s Whisky highballs (one per person comes with general admission) and free-flow Diplomat American Pale and Brooklyn Defender IPA. Available in two sessions – 2–4pm and 4–6pm – you can upgrade to a VIP ticket ($800) for free-flow highballs and Pol Roger champagne added to the mix, plus access to The Diplomat’s speakeasy Social Club with private DJ. K11 MUSEA
